Personal statement
I am a psychotherapist with 25 years of experience in Ukraine and the USA. My work spans individual psychotherapy, coaching, hypnotherapy, somatic approaches, trauma recovery, and sleep regulation.
A significant part of my work has been with people navigating psychological trauma, acute stress, emotional burnout, and life transitions — both in clinical settings and through large-scale community programs.
From 2002 to 2007 I worked in the US mental health system as an Outpatient Therapist, Family Based Therapist, Mobile Therapist, and Behavioral Specialist at Northwestern Human Services (now Merakey), Joseph Peters Institute, PATH, and New Life — primarily with at-risk youth, families, and adults in the Philadelphia area.
In 2014–2015, following the beginning of conflict in eastern Ukraine, I organized and led psychological support programs for civilians, veterans, and military professionals — teaching crisis support skills to Ukrainian Army psychologists and medical staff through the Officers' League.
In February 2022, I launched a free online support initiative for Ukrainians affected by the war — providing psychotherapy, crisis support, group sessions, and peer supervision. Over 600 people received direct support; more than 150 self-help materials and guides were created and distributed freely. Twelve psychologists completed a certified training program in crisis psychology.
Since 2023 I work as Emotional Support Coordinator at New World Association (Philadelphia), providing support for Ukrainian refugees — needs assessment, emotional support, and adjustment coaching.
